Once upon a time my friend asked if I was dating anyone.
That was this past Sunday. I said no. I'm super single.
She asked if she could give her cute cousin my info. Yes.
He called me that same night and left a message..
It was Father's Day and I was with my family.
I decided I would call him back the next day.
I HAVE BEEN SUPER BUSY THIS WEEK!
I have been super busy my whole life, I think.
BUT THIS WEEK I HAVE BEEN EXTRA SUPER BUSY!
I totally forgot to call him on Monday.
I remembered around 7:30pm and texted him while I was at school.
I asked if I could call in a couple hours after my study group was finished.
He goes to bed early so he would be going to sleep around 9pm.
Yeah right man... this is already not working.
So he said we could talk the next day.
THE NEXT DAY I WAS SUPER BUSY.
Super BUSIER than the day before.
I forgot to call him.
He texted me around 7:30pm and said, "Hey, how are you?"
I was doing group homework again.
I thought, "Crap... I won't be done 'til around 9pm again."
He said I could call him at 9pm.
Then we texted a few times back and forth and had some friendly convo.
I finished around 9pm and called at 9:07pm on my way home.
No answer.
Dang, he wasn't kidding about 9:00 bed time. I'd missed him.
Today came and I WAS SUPER BUSY!
I had school right after work and class went until 9:30pm.
I was frantically figuring out group work before class so I couldn't call him in my 5 minute commute window from work to school.
So after playing phone tag and leaving more messages... still no real contact yet.
Tomorrow I leave for Youth Conference at 7am and return some time on Saturday.
We're camping somewhere I don't even know and I won't have service.
Sooo... this blind date phone call will have to wait a few more days.
If I ever meet this guy in person... bless his heart for being patient.
In the mean time, I HAVE BEEN SUPER BUSY.
ALL THE TIME.
And it's exhausting.
But life is still good and I'm doing my best to not explode and go crazy. :)
You exhaust me, Schmee! You do always seem to live a very full busy life. What are we going to do about that, we need some time for you to go on dates! Well if this kid is cool at all, he'll understand and give you another chance when you do finally talk. Hope you're having a fun weekend my dear, see ya hopefully soon!
